Summary: \n

Champion Construction Service (CCS) is seeking an experienced and reliable construction laborer to join the team. The Laborer will participate in all aspects of the on-site assembly of manufactured housing and will report directly to a Construction Crew Lead.\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\n

The key responsibilities of this position are outlined below. Other duties may be assigned.\n\nPerforms all manual labor in the area to which assigned.\nKeeps area and site organized and clean\nRead and use a tape measure\nRead blueprints and orders\nCommunicate well with coworkers\nUse hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools\n\n\nRepresent Champion with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor\n\n

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:\n\nAbility to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.\nAbility to stand and\/or walk for the full duration of the workday\nMust have clear vision at both close and distant ranges\nAbility to hear clearly\nMust be available to travel, with occasional overnight stays\nMust be willing to work outside in all four seasons\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nMust have a strong work ethic\nMust have the ability to work quickly and methodically\nMust understand safety procedures\nMust have good teamwork skills\nMust live the Champion Operating Principles\n\n\nBasic knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of houses or buildings\nAbility to troubleshoot, reason, and solve problems\nPrevious experience in manufacturing\/modular housing desired\nPreference will be given to those applicants with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record\nMust be available to work Monday through Saturday\nMust pass a pre-employment drug screen\n\n

Education and\/or Experience:\n

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and\/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n
