Understanding the details of the work, the critical milestones and the methodology. Monitoring of field supervision and productivity in line with the plan. Reviewing the manpower requirement and equipment loading necessary for the execution of the project on time, quality and safely. Supervising Subcontractors activities in his area by planning & monitoring against Subcontract and Pre-order meeting agreements, scope and sequence of activities. Ensuring that reports and approval requirements [especially permits, coordination and acceptance of work] are complied with. Providing inputs on their variations and claims to the Project Management Team. Ensuring progress of the works is in accordance with the project program (master plan). Ensuring the production of the necessary quality procedures and method statements for the works to be carried out in the project. Verifying that activity is implemented in accordance with the approved procedure and methodology. Ensuring a safe working environment within the project by full compliance with the H & S and Environmental Management Plans. Calling the attention of violators for their immediate compliance or reporting to the Project Manager as appropriate for further action. Attending meetings to effectively respond to complaints and maintain close co-operation to achieve the anticipated standards and satisfaction with the project works. Reviewing site daily log and any day works / variation works records against program/schedule and prepare a strategy or catch up plan to make the schedule back on track. Providing inputs in the weekly project meeting specifically on the construction problems, work requirement, Safety and Quality. Ensuring works are executed as documented and checked for compliance and coordination among all disciplines. Monitoring of all aspects of quality on site. Ensuring availability of records for site daily logs, weekly and monthly reports. Raising the necessary inputs on the correspondences relating to operations. Ensuring rectification and closing of issued Non-compliance Report (NCR) raised internally or by client. Ensuring rectification and closing issued Corrective Action Request for Effectiveness (CARE) raised internally. Ensuring Construction and mobile (light and heavy) equipment are utilized efficiently. Ensuring proper accountability of assets and triggers the disposal process when those are no longer needed in line with the levels of approval. Performing other functions that may be delegated to by his/her superiors.
