Construction Manager

Responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising all field construction activities relating to their assigned projects. Manages field crews, maintains project schedules and budgets. Coordinates with the clients, Project Manager, and the project team. The Construction Manager reports directly to the assigned Project Manager. Responsibilities Project Proposal: Assist in developing construction write-ups. Assist in developing preliminary construction schedules. Responsible for determining equipment and labor resources required for the project. Attend Pre-Bid meetings. Assist in identifying potential job hazards, scheduling conflicts and work constraints. Project Execution: Coordinate with the owner and Project Manager to obtain all required permits and licenses. Coordinate mobilization of work crews and equipment. Determine and assign location of laydown yards for materials and equipment. Establish local resources for miscellaneous materials, consumables, tools, and equipment parts as needed. Coordinate establishment of on-site temporary facilities and on-site utilities. Coordinate appropriate level of on-site safety orientations and training for all management, supervisors, and crews working on or visiting the job site. Supervise all work being performed on-site including all subcontractors and office personnel. Management and reporting of project schedules, budgets, changes in work scope, and safety performance to the client and Project Manager. Managing daily, weekly, and monthly job status reports. Management and execution of field documentation including purchase orders, change orders, and vendor/subcontractor invoices. Facilitate change orders and invoices between subcontractors and the project team. Participating in weekly progress and strategic planning meetings between clients and project team members. Coordinate and manage material shipments and maintain site inventory. Insure routine maintenance and inspection of work vehicles, heavy equipment, rigging, and safety equipment. Enforcement of safety policies and procedures by all on-site personnel and visitors to the site. Enforcement of environmental protection plans and procedures. Manage QA/QC of construction activities as required. Project Closeout: Supervise final station testing and commissioning. Initiate field energization report. Finalize all field change orders. Close-out all subcontractor and vendor invoices. Complete final station walkthrough and inspection. Ensure all field close-out punch lists and final documentation is complete. Initiate completion of transfer of care and custody documentation. Ensure all as-built marked up drawings are completed and transferred to the client. Supervise demobilization of work crews, vehicles and heavy equipment. Coordinate site restoration and environmental clean-up. Initiate disconnection of on-site utilities and return of rental trailer and/or equipment Qualifications Skills & Abilities: Safety Orientated Strong Communication Highly Organized Multi-Task Collaboration Time Management Problem Solving Physical Demands: Able to work long hours consecutively. Able to deal with stressful situations repeatedly. Education and/ or Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years working experience on large scale EPC Projects (able to provide references) Pay Range: $80,000 to $130,000
