We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our Project Management Team.
The Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the civil works within a large-scale project, ensuring successful execution from design to completion.
This role involves managing multiple construction activities including retrofitting existing Facilities , Construction of a carbon capture plant, port facilities/jetty, and associated utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the overall construction of civil and structural works across multiple project areas, including retrofitting facilities, Construction of carbon capture plant, port facilities, and utility infrastructure (high voltage substation, wastewater treatment, sea water treatment, etc.). Coordinate and communicate with engineers, designers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of the project. Organize and lead regular meetings with stakeholders to track progress, resolve issues, and make timely decisions to avoid project delays. Identify and manage the interfaces between various project disciplines, ensuring coordination between construction, design, procurement, and engineering teams.Construction:
Provide technical oversight of the construction works, including ensuring the resolution of any non-conformities, modifications, or design issues. Ensure that construction activities are compliant with all local regulations, safety standards, and project specifications. Ensure the technical follow-up of construction activities and resolve any outstanding technical matters or coordination issues promptly. Deliver technical documentation required for the construction team, ensuring that all construction-related documents are accurate and complete.Procurement & Subcontractor Management:
Participate in the preparation of technical sections for subcontracts related to construction works and engineering services. Lead the technical evaluation and clarification of bids for construction works, and support the selection process for vendors and subcontractors. Ensure that subcontractors and vendors adhere to the project’s technical and quality requirements, including regular reviews of technical documentation and deliverables. Manage and coordinate subcontractor activities on-site, ensuring that all tasks are completed according to the contract and project timelines.
