The role
We are currently recruiting for Construction Managers for our Manchester Town Hall Project. This is a Grade 1 listed restoration / refurbishment project in the heart of Manchester city centre.
You will do
Prime responsibility for the safety of all site operationsPrepare tender & pre-construction method statementsMonitor health & safety documentation and complete safety inspectionsEnsure all contractors are implementing method statements and operating safelyDirect the construction team to ensure that all supply chain contractors are coordinated and working to the construction programme and detailMonitor the progress of construction works and amend the methodology in light of unforeseen circumstances to ensure that overall completion dates are metDevelop and implement a clear plan of action to achieve the aboveConstantly review the build quality achieved ensuring that the client’s requirements in this regard are fully metEstablish and manage a series of meetings with all contractors to ensure all are aware of the latest design detailCoordinate the learning and development opportunities to the teamYou will bring
Technical construction/engineering skillsOrganisational skillsExtensive knowledge of operational safety systemsUnderstanding of financial and commercial systemsKnowledge of contractual relationships and contract lawDelegation communication and direction skillsExperience in a project or site engineering roleExperience of complex and high volume business projectsUnderstanding of site management principlesWritten and verbal communication to influence and build relationshipsAbility to influence and lead teamsWhat we provide
