We're looking for a Construction Manager to join Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks on our Severn Trent team based from Solihull, West Midlands.
Location: Solihull, West Midlands with travel to sites in the Severn Trent patch in the Midlands
Contract: Permanent - Full Time
What will you be responsible for?
As a Construction Manager, you'll be working within the Severn Trent CSO programme team, supporting them in delivering high-quality construction projects safely and efficiently.
The Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO) programme is an important task which focuses on the upgrading of assets to deal with the increased demand of water systems due to storm water and the increased use of treatment works due to population growth and the subsequent overflow.
What will your day to day look like?
Your day to day will include:
You'll be managing on-site safety and operations, including delivering comprehensive inductions, conducting toolbox talks, and facilitating daily task briefings. You will optimise operational efficiency by allocating duties, facilitating work tasks, and supervising site operatives. You can manage resources effectively by organising and requisitioning essential site equipment, machinery, and materials. You are keen at collaborating with line managers to establish safe and economically feasible work methods and maintaining daily site activity records.
What are we looking for?
This role of Construction Manager is great for you if:
You hold a Level 6 qualification in Construction Site Management or a related field, or a Higher National Certificate/Diploma or degree in Construction Management. Full UK driving licence You have a CSCS card – Supervisor - Gold Experienced Supervisor or Manager. You have site-related training such as confined space, fire marshal, first aid, and temporary work supervisor certifications.We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
