ActivitiesKey Responsibilities:
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Enforce TotalEnergies’ HSE policies and ensure all subcontractors and consultants comply with our standards.Safety Program Participation: Actively engage in the safety program to achieve the goal of zero accidents.Project Alignment: Collaborate with customers to align on the project charter during the kickoff meeting.Project Monitoring: Oversee and ensure compliance with project safety, quality, and performance goals.Team Organization: Organize the integrated site team to supervise contractor construction progress, quality of work, and commissioning until COD.Construction Management: Manage the construction process, implementing necessary procedures and tools to ensure compliance with TotalEnergies Safety Golden Rules.Schedule Management: Ensure work is on schedule, with activities starting and finishing on time, and major milestones achieved as plannedDocumentation and Reporting: Manage site documentation, compile man-hours, and accelerate schedules as neededProject Accountability: Maintain continuous accountability of project historic data, including completed work, performance data/reports, and installed componentsInspection and Evaluation: Provide inspection across various disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) during construction, evaluating workmanship and compliance with contract documents, and summarizing findings for stakeholdersProgress Recording: Record construction progress through visual and written audits to ensure compliance with customer and contract requirementsMilestone Inspection: Inspect projects for compliance with Mechanical Completion, Substantial Completion, and Final Completion milestones as defined in contract documentsProgress Validation: Validate construction progress through review of EPC daily reports, photographs, and look-ahead schedulesContractor Work Validation: Validate contractor work monthly to determine percent complete, schedule compliance, and acceptance of vendor billingsAs-Built Documentation: Confirm site design documentation accurately reflects field changesTechnical Input: Provide technical input related to contract drawings and documentsMeeting Leadership: Lead daily and weekly contractor meetingsEnvironmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with all environmental laws, policies, and regulations governing the work at the job site and on the projectField Corrections: Advise on field corrections to expedite schedules, minimize costs, and identify value engineering opportunities in alignment with the Project PMPermit Compliance: Ensure contractors comply with all environmental and land use permit conditionsEnvironmental Audits: Review environmental scope and audit construction activities.Schedule Maintenance: Maintain project schedules and keep management informed of potential changes.Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the community and with stakeholders. Candidate ProfileQualifications:
Education: BS Electrical Engineering or Construction Management Degree, or equivalent level of related experience preferred. Experience:8 years of related construction or project management or energy industry experience including three years supervisory management responsibilities. Skills:Knowledge in new renewable/alternative energy power projects preferred. Microsoft Office Skills at an intermediate level.Ability to read and understand construction drawings.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Project/Construction management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.The ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds.Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation.Other Requirements:Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to travel with limited advance notice and to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and nights.
