Are you ready to take on the role of Construction Manager for our client's groundbreaking green steel project in Boden, Sweden? As a consultant for this contract position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of a state-of-the-art Water Treatment Plant, utilizing your expertise in waste water treatment and disposal, site project management, and construction coordination. Join us in our mission to disrupt the global steel industry and bring down CO2 emissions to zero.

Role Overview

Oversee construction management activities and deliverables for the Water Treatment Plant, ensuring safety, schedule, cost, and quality criteria are met. Develop and implement detailed daily/weekly construction work plans and execute necessary activities to successfully construct the project scope. Contribute to the development of the company's ability to compete on a global scale in construction projects. Work closely with cross-functional teams in a matrix structure to optimize site construction efforts. Lead and manage a team of construction professionals. Ensure compliance with best practice construction project management principles. Contribute to the successful completion of the 6 billion EUR green steel project in Boden. Shape the surroundings and perception of Boden as a symbol for the much-needed green transition of heavy industry.

Skills & Qualifications

Extensive industry experience as a construction manager, with hands-on project leadership experience in demanding industrial environments (e.g. Steel, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Mining). Fluency in English. Experience working on an owner's team is a plus. Experience working in a multi-cultural environment is a plus. Engaging and effective leadership capability that creates forward momentum and influence across multiple disciplines and functions. Highly execution-oriented and biased towards decision making. Commercial and contract skills with experience managing contractors from the owner's or owner's representative side. Focused on problem solving and first principles orientation. Proven effective technical competence. Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines with excellent time management skills. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Certifications in Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering are advantageous. Experience as a construction manager in demanding industrial environments.
