Job Title: Construction Materials Technician
Job Description

The construction materials technician is an integral part of the engineering consulting business. This role involves overseeing field operations and maintaining the quality of materials used on site.

ResponsibilitiesConduct compaction tests to ensure soil stability and support for construction projects.Perform concrete testing, including pulling cylinders, conducting concrete slump tests, and breaking cylinders.Carry out materials testing to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.Conduct asphalt testing and inspections to maintain quality assurance and control.Utilize nuclear gauge equipment for accurate soil testing and density measurements.Ensure all testing is conducted following industry standards and regulatory requirements.Provide detailed and accurate documentation of test results and findings.Essential SkillsExperience with concrete testing and inspection.Proficiency in asphalt testing and materials testing.Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures.Experience with soil testing and the use of nuclear gauge equipment.Strong understanding of compaction tests and concrete slump tests.Additional Skills & QualificationsACI certification.NICET certification.Experience with breaking cylinders and pulling concrete cylinders.Work Environment

This position involves working outside at construction sites, conducting various tests and inspections to ensure material quality and compliance with project standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
