**Overview:** Geotechnology, LLC, a Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) Company, has an opening in our Construction Services Department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope. Construction Materials Testing Co-ops, during summer and fall 2025 semesters, perform or assist in performing routine field tests and observations. **Job Responsibilities:** + Performs field quality control tests on plastic concrete + Performs field density testing on soil, asphalt, and aggregate + Extracts field samples in borrow pits + Assists with drilling and sampling operations with hand-operated drilling equipment + May perform routine laboratory tests on soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials + Limited decision making + Prepares written electronic daily field observation reports and summary reports + Perform other duties as assigned + Conducts all work in a manner that demonstrates that safety is a core value + Follows Geotechnology's safety plans, programs, policies, and procedures + Conducts periodic job site safety observations + Participates in group safety meetings and job site tailgate safety meetings + Completes assigned safety training **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent + Must be currently enrolled at a university and pursuing an engineering degree + Zero to one-year prior experience + Ability to receive ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I Certification and Nuclear density safety training + Ability to complete 10-hour OSHA Construction and defensive driver training before May 2025 + Ability to follow oral and written instructions + Ability to perform routine field tests + Proficient with a basic cell phone and computer usage for daily report entry + Dependable + Ability to verbally communicate and write in a clear, concise, legible manner + Ability to work flexible hours, which may include nights and weekends **Who We Are:** UES provides essential engineering services for some of the most prominent and significant projects in the nation.
