Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Construction Observer who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success. This position will be working out of our Jacksonville, FL location and will require the ability to travel greater than 60% of the time. Primary Responsibilities: Provide construction observation and documentation services for various construction projectsUnderstand, interpret and apply drawings, regulations, codes and construction specificationsVerify construction compliance with engineering contracts, specifications, regulations, codes and designs, including current ASTM standardsFollow and complete construction administration duties as defined in the contract documentsReview contractor pay requests and change ordersMonitor and document material delivery, storage and installationComplete field measurements and estimate installed quantitiesCoordinate testing of materials, including sample collectionConduct field testing of installed materials Coordinate project-specific scheduling of Foth and/or contracted services including surveying and testingCommunicate effectively with contractors, customers, regulators and engineers regarding project scope, timelines and related project informationRequired Qualifications: Engineering or Science Degree with applicable experience2+ years’ experience in construction observation for projects greater than $250,000Previous experience documenting construction project activitiesPrevious experience with the application of engineering documents to construction projectsExperience with construction contracting requirementsExperience working on coastal infrastructure projects and implementing designs Why Foth: Established Reputation: With over 86 years of experience, we are proud to be 100% member-owned.Dynamic Culture: Benefit from a values-based, client-centered, and flexible work environment, with ample professional growth opportunities and supportive colleagues, contributing to our impressive 92+% member retention rate.Challenging Projects: Engage in diverse and exciting projects that promote continuous professional growth and development.
