The Construction Project Coordinator is the Campus liaison between the State University Construction Fund (SUCF), contractors, design consultants, special testing agencies, and campus departments for the design and construction of minor critical maintenance and capital projects. The incumbent will act as the primary contact person for all assigned projects from planning through closeout by focusing on campus needs. Primary tasks include monitoring; construction quality and ensuring work is completed according to the contract documents, construction schedule, and construction budget. Tracking and coordinating issues during design, construction and warranty periods. Work also includes attending project progress and coordination meetings, observing on-site testing, and maintaining project records such as daily reports, fire inspections, change requests, submittals, and payment applications.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
+ Associate Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or technically related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education.
+ Knowledge of construction methods and technologies with a thorough understanding of project specifications, drawings, and other construction documents; including submittals and shop drawings.
+ 4 years experience in project management, construction superintendent, or related field.
+ Efficient with computer software MS Office (Word, Excel, Project etc.)
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Applicants must possess a valid New York State driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or technically related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of education.
+ Prior experience on SUNY capital construction projects.
+ Prior experience in a university setting in facilities, or construction management
+ Proficiency with AutoCAD / Bluebeam software
+ Proficient with cost estimating, scheduling and ,project management
+ NYS Building Code enforcement Official
