Construction Project Engineer
Job Title: Construction Project EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Engineer to assist Superintendents and Project Managers in day-to-day site management to ensure schedule and quality goals are met. You will manage the RFI and submittal process from creation through close-out, handle owner billings, track job-cost codes, and resolve project-related accounting items. Your role will include maintaining daily logs, progress photos, material procurement logs, change orders, and close-out documents. Additionally, you will help create and update project schedules, coordinate subcontractor insurance, bonds, and compliance paperwork, and support project safety by attending daily huddles and documenting inspections. Responsibilities + Assist Superintendents and Project Managers in site management to meet schedule and quality goals. + Manage the RFI and submittal process from creation through close-out. + Process owner billings and track job-cost codes. + Resolve project-related accounting items. + Maintain daily logs, progress photos, material procurement logs, change orders, and close-out documents. + Help create and update project schedules using MS Project. + Coordinate subcontractor insurance, bonds, and compliance paperwork. + Support project safety by attending daily huddles and documenting inspections. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in construction management with experience in large commercial projects exceeding $10 million. + Proficiency in construction management software such as MS Project, Bluebeam, and Procore. + Ability to read plans, specifications, and shop drawings with a strong understanding of construction means and methods. + Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent practical experience. + Experience with estimation and change order processes. Work Environment This position is based on-site at large commercial construction projects. You will be part of a medium-sized, non-union general contractor team with a family feel, known for its progressive and dynamic environment.
