Construction Project Manager - 12 Months

Duties and Responsibilities

Manages On-Site Construction: including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract implementation, construction activities, commissioning, and transition to commercial operation. Supports the management of specific portions of project budget, schedule, overall Construction and Site Safety (both Personnel and Environmental) and can provide accurate, concise updates to management. Involved in major complex generation projects focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) typically exceeding $50M. Dominion’s On-Site Field Representative to administer contract to ensure EPC, General and Sub-Contractors install in accordance with IFC drawings, contract, schedule, and budget while overseeing Personnel and Environmental Safety (OSHA, SPCC and SWPPP) and Quality Assurance. Projects are within Dominion Energy’s service territories and typically last a few years each, therefore, the day-to-day office location will be the project site. Drive provided goals for internal team and achieve performance-based results.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Minimum 10 years experience in a hands on Project Management role Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor, other education: Business, Engineering, or Engineering Technology. Experience with substation interconnection, distribution, and transmission. Knowledge and experience with SCADA systems and IT related software. Possess leadership skills with a project team or multiple teams. Skilled in implementing and managing new construction and/or improvement projects. Well versed in reading/interpreting IFC drawings (Construction, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical)
Strong Safety background (Personnel and Environmental) Familiar with rigging and handling operations for heavy/critical lifts.
