**Description**
SAIC is looking for a **Construction Project Manager** to join our team in **Chantilly, VA** . The position requires an active, or the ability to obtain, **TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph** . This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing new construction and recapitalization efforts for a Federal Government customer. Projects will range from $5M to $100M+.
The ideal candidate shall have a broad project and construction management background and expertise, including: project coordination, planning, prioritization, and construction supervision. The candidate will serve as an interface between the on-site government facilities management organization, design and construction contractors, Site Operations and Maintenance support contractor, local utilities, and all other customers and stakeholders on matters related to customer requirements and execution. The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects in varying phases of completion. Additionally, the candidate is expected to be a quality control agent supporting other construction managers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Providing technical assistance on construction related matters to customers, stakeholders, and teammates;
+ Reviewing, creating, and analyzing cost estimates;
+ Developing Statements of Work (SOW);
+ Reviewing SOWs and construction drawings for constructability;
+ Coordinating, overseeing, and conducting quality checks on General Contractor activities and submittals;
+ Coordinating with relevant stakeholders;
+ Tracking and documenting project progress and key decisions;
+ Maintaining logs of relevant project documents; and
+ Supporting process improvement initiatives.

**Qualifications**
+ **Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly or the ability to obtain one.**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architectural field and 5+ years of design and construction experience.
+ High School diploma and 8+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.
+ Experience supervising and managing construction projects.
+ Knowledgeable and understanding of many aspects of construction disciplines.
+ Extensive experience or expertise in one or more of the construction disciplines.
+ Demonstrated project management skills associated with managing performance, budget, and schedules.
+ An understanding of facility operations & maintenance activities and procedures.
+ Ability to understand and read construction documents.
+ Knowledge of federal, state and local building and safety codes.
+ Ability to develop reports and briefings with MS Office.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Experience with MS Project or equivalent scheduling tool.
+ Project or construction management certificate.
+ Knowledgeable in AutoCAD.
