Construction Project Manager
Job Title: Construction Project Manager Job Description We are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to our team who can manage ground-up projects and Tenant Improvement projects. The first project is a $2.4 million ground-up Grater's Ice Cream shop, with the current project being an Ace Hardware Interior build-out. This role requires travel to job sites around the Indianapolis market and the home office at the Pyramids, Indianapolis. Vehicle gas for project travel is reimbursable. Responsibilities + Lead project teams to coordinate all site construction activities, including safety and quality items. + Create and maintain project schedules, and assist with subcontractor coordination. + Ensure successful project completion on schedule, per drawings and specifications, and within budget. + Assist Preconstruction team with due diligence, permit approvals, and administrative controls. + Engage in design review, project clarifications, and preconstruction coordination. + Create and update project schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors. + Document and manage preconstruction issues, RFIs, and plan clarifications. + Review, document, and coordinate drawing/spec conflicts or issues. + Manage cost management tasks such as change orders, forecasting costs, and subcontractor and owner billings. + Create, distribute, and implement completion and punch lists. + Collect and organize all close-out documentation in a timely manner. + Support field operations, including coordination meetings, safety, cost, and quality controls. + Assist with field operation logistics, such as fencing, security, deliveries, signage, and more. + Ensure proper documentation and approval for material deliveries, and maintain daily logs. + Assist with quality control implementation and timely inspections. + Check adherence to and enforce company safety and cleanliness policies. + Perform some physical labor and use tools as required. + Assist in field reporting, such as safety audits, quality control audits, and erosion control inspections. Essential Skills + Minimum 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry, preferably light-commercial. + Experience with field-specific management duties. + Experience negotiating Sub Contractor agreements and Contract Buyout process. + Valid driver's license. + Minimum 10-hr OSHA certification preferred. + Ability to read, interpret, question, and execute project plans, specifications, RFIs, and other project documents. + Proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM Collaborate, Building Connected-Pro, and Microsoft Suite. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (Project Management), BIM Collaborate (3D Coordination), Building Connected-Pro (Bid Software), and Microsoft Products (Email, etc.) is preferred but not required. + Professional representation with a positive leadership attitude. + Proactive approach in resolving team, project, and client issues. + Strong interpersonal skills, communication, and a positive attitude. + Ability to provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and innovative solutions. + Encourages collaboration and transparency to enhance relationships with employees, teams, trade partners, designers, consultants, and clientele. Work Environment The role requires being on-site 5 days per week, working both inside and outside. The work environment includes a trailer or office at the Pyramids. The position offers benefits such as gas reimbursement for project travel, quarterly events/outings, 2 weeks PTO, and a salary position with additional benefits upon becoming a full-time employee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $55.29 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
