At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position. **Job Summary** The Solar Project Construction group manages the execution of solar projects from 1MW to 150+MW through Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) contracts. The group is organized into several sequential teams; Development, Diligence, Pre-Construction, Construction, and Close-Out. This position is for a Project Manager position in the Construction team, which oversees the execution of the construction phase of the projects. Construction Project Manager duties include: • Leading the solar construction project site team by managing specific portions of the project, including technical, construction, quality, cost, and schedule for complex solar development projects exceeding $100 million • Supporting management of project budget and schedule. • Participating in status update meetings with EPC contractors. • Oversee and coordinate plant commissioning processes, including safety, environmental, development of system turnover packages, and site walkdowns • Overseeing punch list completion, facilitate communication with operations, and review contractor deliverables. • Coordination with internal stakeholders including Site Owner’s Representatives, Operations, Controls, Business Development, Tax, Real Estate, Environmental, and Supply Chain • Coordination with external stakeholders, including counterparts in the EPC’s organization, permitting agencies, and Owners Engineers • Working with a cross-functional team that includes engineers, permitting specialists, construction oversight personnel, environmental compliance coordinators, contracts and financial analysts, real estate analysts, and operations personnel • Preparing weekly reporting for internal project stakeholders • Reviewing EPC deliverables, including specifications, performance test reports, and as-built design drawings • Reviewing and providing input on contract Change Orders, Contractor Notices, Milestone Completion Certificates, and other commercial documents • Performing other duties as assigned. • This position will report to Manager – Construction Projects and will lead a matrixed reporting structured site construction team of engineering, construction, safety, and environmental personnel. • Position may require 75%+ travel and may require a temporary assignment during active construction Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications. A Masters Degree can count as one year experience. **Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience** 7+ years of project management related experience, preferably in one of the following areas: solar or power plant/general construction and/or related utility operations construction experience. Demonstrated experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas. + Experience managing contract staff including construction management, safety, and environmental contractors responsible for contract and permit compliance requirements. + Skilled in developing, implementing and managing new construction and/or improvement projects that enhance the overall reliability, efficiency, and safety of the plant. + Strong team building skills. Effective negotiating skills. Ability to interact with local community to address project issues or concerns during construction. + Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities. + Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, SAP products, Adobe products, Bluebeam, scheduling software + Ability to develop, manage and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project contractual requirements including budget, schedule, safety and environmental compliance. + Ability to resolve technical problems and implement changes. + Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff. + Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums. **Education Requirements** Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelors Disciplines preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related degrees that are applicable to Project Construction in utilities. **Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description** Preferred: PE, PMP, PMI-CP **Working Conditions** Cold 26-50% Heat 26-50% Travel 26-50% Office Work Environment 76 -100% **Other Working Conditions** There may be additional working conditions that do not appear here.
