Construction Project Manager - Mega Projects

Plante Moran Realpoint, LLC (PMR), is thrilled to welcome a visionary and experienced Project Manager to our growing team. If you have a knack for steering projects to triumph and are enthusiastic about fueling our expansion, we’d love to connect with you! The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience developing and leading projects through design & construction. While based out of our Southfield, MI office, this role will be on the ground working with clients at their site 2-3 days a week, with occasional overnight travel (up to 30%).
Your role.Your work will include, but not be limited to:Responsible for planning of project logistics including vendor contracting strategy, establishing internal team responsibilities and working with clients to develop the overall project structure to achieve their goals.Responsible for leading multiple projects of varying scope and scale simultaneously.Knowledgeable in legal and financing impacts to project structureFacilitate identification and resolution of project risk factors which can include AHJ requirements, design /engineering management and general construction means and methods. Have a strong acumen in managing multiple vendors to their contractual obligations; assist with prioritization of activitiesProcure services for construction and supplemental vendors required for complete project executionCoordinate and monitor vendor activities for compliance to contractual responsibilitiesCoordinate client engagement within overall program, facilitate the decision making processmonitor budget, schedule and project risk items; facilitate issue resolutionEnsure implementation and compliance of P&M and PMR policies and procedures on projects including internal reportingParticipate and lead team development including mentoring, and coaching on performance The qualifications. Engineering Degree, Architecture Degree or Construction Management Degree from an accredited college or university10-15 years development, owner’s representation, design or construction fieldsExperience working for an Owner's Facility Team or as a consultant is preferred. Construction cost estimating experience is desirable. Proficient in MS Word & Excel; Project and/or Primavera Scheduling Software. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and/or Primavera Scheduling Software; Familiarity with BIMQualified individuals must either reside in or near Metro Detroit or be willing to relocate for this opportunityFrequent travel throughout the region, with approximately 30% overnight travel
