Role description:

As a Construction Quality Manager in the Transit Facilities sector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of construction projects related to transit facilities such as railways, subways, bus terminals, and airports. You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control measures to ensure that all construction activities meet the required standards and specifications. This includes monitoring the construction process, conducting inspections, and coordinating with project teams to address any quality-related issues. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful completion of transit facility projects.

Role accountabilities:

Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines for construction projects in the transit facilities sector. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations. Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to identify potential quality issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality-related concerns and provide guidance on quality control measures. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to project schedules and quality standards. Coordinate with third-party testing agencies to perform material and structural testing as required. Document and report quality control findings and provide recommendations for improvement. Conduct training sessions and workshops for project teams to enhance their understanding of quality control procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience in construction quality management, preferably in the transit facilities sector. In-depth knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations. Strong understanding of quality control principles and procedures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $178,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
