The Senior Site Quality Specialist is responsible for implementing the quality program on projects to ensure they are fabricated, installed, examined, tested, and documented in accordance with project specifications, governing codes of construction, and contract documents. Key responsibilities include:
This is a per diem role on a 1 Billion Dollar ProjectAssisting the Construction Quality Section Manager with managing and mentoring quality personnel relative to the scope, complexity, and logistics of work.Assisting with specification reviews to develop the Construction Quality Plan for the project.Working with Engineering to address elevated quality requirements.Developing Inspection and Test Plans in collaboration with the project team and verifying execution through assessments.Reviewing and confirming compliance of subcontractor Quality submittals and their Inspection and Test Plans.Leading preparatory meetings and communicating contractual quality requirements to subcontractors to achieve quality objectives.Proactively supporting the successful implementation of the Construction Quality Plan, including key processes (e.g., document management, material management, special processes) and elevating opportunities to the Project Lead when necessary.Staying ahead of installation activities and communicating any complexities associated with upcoming work.Monitoring and inspecting fabricated/installed products and services to confirm compliance with project specifications and drawings, and documenting results as required.Reviewing quality verification documents to confirm all attributes are addressed and comply with specifications and drawings.Managing the \"punch list process\" and performing acceptance inspections of completed items when required.Managing weekly quality meetings with clients and subcontractors.Recommending enhancements and changes to the Burns & McDonnell Quality Management System.Confirming conditions adverse to quality (nonconformances) are identified, segregated, documented, dispositioned, and tracked through acceptance and closure.Confirming Welding Procedure Specifications and associated Procedure Qualification Records are reviewed by the Welding Subject Matter Expert.Analyzing BMcD procedures to support the preferred approach to specific activities.Assisting the Construction Quality Manager with assigning Welding Procedure Specifications to applicable weldments.Assisting in the set-up and tracking of welder-to-weld traceability.Tracking project quality metrics.Confirming that project turnover packages are populated and correspond to project activities.Complying with all Safety & Health requirements and monitoring construction activities to ensure adherence to safety standards.Participating in the Task Safety Observations (TSO) process and defining corrective measures for problem areas.Performing other duties as assigned.Complying with all policies and standards.Skills:

High School Diploma/GED and 11 years of relevant experience in implementing and managing a quality program, orAssociate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Welding Technology, Nondestructive Examination, or related field, and 9 years of relevant experience in implementing and managing a quality program, orBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Welding Technology, Nondestructive Examination, or related field, and 7 years of relevant experience in implementing and managing a quality program.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced technical writing experience is required.Strong computer and communication skills.Must be detail-oriented.Certified Welding Inspector-AWS required.Pay and Benefits
