Construction Representative
Overview Colliers Project Leaders is currently looking for an experience Construction Site Representative (CSR) to join our team for full time assignment in Boston, MA. The role is for a repeat Client and leading higher education institution in Cambridge, MA, where the CSR will be working alongside Colliers on-site staff as well as the Client’s dedicated staff on a fast track +$100M renovation to an historic undergraduate house. In addition to the responsibilities outlined, the candidate should have prior construction field related experience working in a collaborative team environment where cost, schedule and quality are paramount to the success of the project. A Construction Site Representative, representing the Client, is responsible for at a minimum the below aspects of construction related services on a specific project. Responsibilities Responsibilities shall include not necessarily limited to the following: + Provides daily field presence. + Monitors and reports on the status of the Construction Manager’s construction schedule progress, including the CM’s Look-Ahead Schedules as well as the CM’s Monthly Baseline Schedule Updates, with a focus to raise any schedule related concerns immediately. + Support Colliers Schedule Analyst in the review of the Construction Manager’s monthly schedule update. + Develops daily field related reports, including summary level photos, calling attention to construction related deficiencies, schedule or quality concerns. + Participates as needed in preconstruction process, including subcontractor procurement scope evaluations. + Assist the Client as needed with scheduling and coordination of FF&E, IT & Move Management. + Assists the Client with scheduling of testing agencies, special services, Cx agent, etc. + In conjunction with Colliers on-site staff along with the Clients staff, perform a detailed and thorough review of the Construction Manager’s monthly payment applications, including a review of the monthly subcontractor and vendors payment requests. + Document any and all field related construction deficiencies in the Construction Manager’s web-based project management software, Procore. + Follow up with the Client, Design Team and Construction Manager in the closeout of construction deficiencies. + Attends regular project meetings, representing Colliers and the Client in a professional manner. + Assist the Client and Design Team in the coordination of punch list related activities. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree, preferred. + Upon hire: 5+ years of construction expertise, preferably in Higher Education. + OSHA-10 certification required. + Solid understanding of building construction, field construction, including codes & safety requirements. + Solid understanding of sequencing and scheduling. + Very good verbal and written communication skills. + Very good organizational skills. + Must be able to work well with co-workers, clients, and contractors. + Requires strong technical experience such as envelope, MEP, and/or FF&E. + Very good computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet research. + Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
