The Safety Manager – ensures the safety and well-being of all team members and assets at our Columbus area jobsite. This role involves implementing safety measures, conducting training, preventing and investigating incidents, analyze risk, handle emergencies and fostering a culture of safety across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:

Supervise and inspire a team of safety professionals. Mentor and guide team members to enhance their professional growth.

Collaboration:

Work closely with Field Operations, Project Operations, the General Contractor, and trade partners to maintain safety standards.

Training:

Conduct job-site safety training and maintain accurate training records.

Incident Management:

Investigate and document injuries, incidents, and near-misses. Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Risk Assessment:

Oversee and ensure compliance with safety protocols for high-risk activities, including crane lifts, excavations, and electrical work.

Reporting:

Maintain daily logs of jobsite activities, critical issues, and key conversations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

12-15+ years as a safety professional in the construction industry. Required: CHST certification. Strongly Preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with at least 2 years of CSP experience. Completed OSHA 500 Basic Instructor Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction. OSHA 30-hour certification.
