Clover Leaf is looking for a Safety Professional to join our growing team. This position involves full-time on-site work with a Department of Energy (DOE) client at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina. We are seeking a candidate who excels at both team collaboration and independent work.
Position Responsibilities Identify ES&H safety issues and report concerns to SDRs. Provide high-level Subject Matter Expert (SME) expertise in construction and industrial safety practices. Oversee and manage ES&H safety at DOE jobsites. Interpret Federal, State, DOE, and Savannah River Site safety and health regulations and policies, providing guidance for integration into site programs. Conduct OSHA and safety-related inspections. Establish and maintain required safety records and reports. Review and provide feedback on subcontractor safety plans, offering guidance on job site hazard assessments. Provide additional health and safety support as requested by the SDR. Duties and Deliverables Submit weekly project reports, including photos as needed. Provide monthly briefings to Savannah River Site program management or as requested. Briefings or reports shall address OSHA, DOE, and Savannah River Site safety and health program metrics and data. Deliver quarterly safety metrics summaries and interpretations for OSHA-required metrics and Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs. Complete job site safety assessments within expected turnaround times (typically five (5) days or sooner, if requested). Review subcontractor safety plans within expected turnaround times (typically five (5) days or sooner, if requested). Education/Experience Requirements Associate's degree and seven (7) years of experience in construction and industrial safety or a related safety field, or B.A. or B.S. degree and four (4) years of similar experience, or No degree with ten (10) years of experience. Degree must be in safety, fire science, industrial hygiene, or a related ES&H field. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards. Familiarity with Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) procedures and construction practices.
