The **_Construction Safety Specialist_** is responsible for ensuring that all construction and engineering related works executed onsite are safe and compliant with all relevant Haleon standards and EHS regulations. In this role you will develop, implement, and oversee the construction safety program for all employees, contractors, and visitors. It involves monitoring compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety training, and investigating incidents to prevent future occurrences.
This role is also responsible for the site contractor safety program, overseeing the development, implementation, and management of safety programs for all contractors working on the premises or projects.

+ Safety Program Development
+ Develop and update safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with Haleon standards and local regulations.
+ Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues.
+ Training and Education
+ Provide safety training to employees, contractors, and visitors.
+ Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings.
+ Ensure that all personnel are aware of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
+ Site Inspections and Audits
+ Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify potential hazards.
+ Conduct safety audits and report findings to management.
+ Recommend corrective actions and ensure implementation.
+ Incident Investigations and Reporting
+ Investigates accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
+ Prepare detailed reports and documentation of incidents.
+ Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
+ Regulatory Compliance
+ Stay updated on current safety regulations and industry best practices.
+ Ensure all construction / engineering activities comply with relevant regulations.
+ Maintain records of safety – related activities and incidents.
+ Emergency Response
+ Develop and implement emergency response plans.
+ Coordinate emergency drills and training sessions.
+ Act as a first responder to accidents and emergencies on-site.
+ Communication
+ Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.
+ Communicate safety expectations and performance to all levels of the organization.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or 3-5 years in construction safety
+ Strong leadership skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
+ Certification as a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
+ Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodologies
+ Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards (NFPA
+ In-depth Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
