Position Summary:
ISI is seeking an experienced, part-time Construction Scheduler (CM-SCH) to support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at Hines VA Medical Center as part of the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) infrastructure upgrades. The Scheduler will lead the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules, assist in constructability and phasing planning, and support issue resolution for facility renovation and modernization projects.
The ideal candidate will be a credentialed scheduler with experience in Primavera P6 and strong communication and analytical skills to help manage federal healthcare construction timelines and milestones.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Planning: Develop, update, and manage project schedules using VA-approved software (Primavera). Include project milestones, phasing strategies, and coordination across construction and facility operations.
2. Constructability & Phasing Review: Provide schedule input for the development of construction phasing plans in coordination with VA Project Managers and facility staff. Assist in creating documentation for plans mutually approved by construction and facility teams.
3. Construction Phase Scheduling: Maintain a current project schedule. Coordinate progress with the general contractor, compare CM schedule with GC’s schedule, and flag schedule slippage or delays. Recommend adjustments to VA Resident Engineer.
4. Progress Meetings: Attend initial and monthly project meetings to monitor schedule status and support construction contractor payment tracking and form submission.
5. Issue Resolution: Maintain thorough schedule documentation. Track project developments, schedule impacts, and assist the VA in resolving construction-related scheduling issues.
Required Qualifications:
1. Current professional credential as a Scheduler (e.g., PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or equivalent), maintained throughout tenure.
2. Minimum of 3 years of construction scheduling experience, particularly with federal projects.
3. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Oracle Team Member.
4. Demonstrated experience identifying and analyzing baseline schedule discrepancies at daily, weekly, and monthly levels.
5. Must present at least three projects demonstrating relevant experience at a comparable scale and complexity.
6. Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and scheduling reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).
7. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 5 years’ experience using Oracle’s Primavera P6, preferred.
2. Federal construction project scheduling experience
