Construction Solicitor - London An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Construction Solicitor to join a well-established full-service law firm located in the heart of London's historic legal district. With a strong reputation for providing practical and commercial solutions, the firm offers both contentious and non-contentious construction advice to a diverse client base across various industry sectors. This position involves working on a wide range of construction matters, both advisory and dispute-related, for clients such as developers, contractors, funders, and consultants. You will collaborate closely with other departments to deliver seamless and comprehensive legal support. Key responsibilities include: - Advising on non-contentious construction matters, including drafting and negotiating building contracts, consultant appointments, and collateral warranties. - Acting for developers, contractors, and funders on residential and commercial projects. - Providing advice in the context of broader property and finance transactions, ensuring commercial drivers are prioritized. - Supporting consultants such as architects and engineers by reviewing and negotiating appointments and agreements. - Advising on dispute resolution strategies, including alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods such as mediation and adjudication. - Representing clients in formal dispute resolution proceedings, including litigation and arbitration, where necessary. About You: - At least 4 years' PQE, with strong experience in either contentious or non-contentious construction law (or both). - A commercially minded approach to problem-solving and client service. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. - A commitment to building long-term client relationships and supporting business development initiatives.
