This position is responsible for performing janitorial duties in a construction field office as directed by site leadership.
Responsibilities Responsible for cleaning the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows, and wallsDisinfect commonly used items like, desks, doorhandles, office tools, and phonesEmpty trash and recycle binsClean, sanitize, and stocks restroomsClean, sanitize, and stock office kitchen/ break areaVacuum, sweep, and mop floorsOrganize the janitor closet and store all supplies and toolsUse common cleaning toolsFollow safety rules, and precautionsNotify supervisors of unsafe conditionsAdhere to company policies and proceduresMust be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a teamPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications Valid driver’s license requiredMinimum 1-year experience working in a janitorial/ housekeeping position preferredGeneral knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred Work Environment & Conditions Must be able to maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to hear and see naturally or with correctionMust be able to lift up to 25 poundsBe subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilationThis position requires working in an internal environment on a construction site
