** The Surveyor must be willing to relocate to Kwajalein Island, Marshall Islands on a long-term assignment. This position is not a remote or hybrid work location opportunity.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Surveyor surveys land surfaces, and provides technical guidance to the survey crew. Work in the field may include climbing ladders, scaffolding, working on elevated platforms and/or permanent ladders, working on uneven surfaces, and/or working in confined spaces.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Surveys land surfaces to determine precise location and measurement of lines, areas, contours, elevations, angles, and points for a variety of purposes (e.g., titles, land division, mapmaking, etc.). Accurately records survey data, and may compile notes, records, and sketches as additional documentation.Provides technical guidance to survey crew.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Supervision Received - Construction Superintendent Supervision Given - Survey Crew Members (technical guidance only) Internal Contacts - All employees on project External Contacts - Clients
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in related field or equivalent additional experience and typically 15+ years experience.Licensed Land Surveyor desired but not requiredSKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Requires a working knowledge of all surveying and construction-related processes, as well as current industry practices. Also requires excellent written and oral communication skills, familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with surveying, engineering and construction. Skilled in reading blueprints. Ability to perform all necessary calculations.
