Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. This is a full-time position responsible for on-site supervision of construction projects, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and effective coordination of subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have experience with USACE, NAVFAC, and other federal government construction projects, and will be adept at managing all aspects of site operations from project award to closeout.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise on-site construction activities.Ensure subcontractor work meets contract documents, plans, and specifications.Maintain safety compliance in accordance with OSHA and owner requirements.Review and update CPM schedules with project managers.Schedule subcontractors and fill out daily reports for safety, quality control, and job tasks performed.Investigate site conditions with subcontractors and report findings and solutions to the project manager.Act as a liaison between the project manager and the owner for on-site operations.Manage all responsibilities associated with site operations for a general contractor from project award to closeout.Essential SkillsExperience with USACE and NAVFAC projects.Quality control management.Safety compliance and OSHA regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Construction supervision and management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong planning and organizational skills.Valid driver's license and a good driving record.OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and USACE CQM certifications preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsFederal government construction experience preferred; municipal and state government experience considered.Experience on projects valued at $2,000,000 and up preferred.Experience with new construction projects preferred.Ability to read blueprints.Adaptable and dependable.Work Environment
