**Job Title: Construction Superintendent**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and efficiency of construction sites, manage day-to-day operations, and communicate effectively with the team. This role requires extensive experience in industrial construction and leadership capabilities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure the site is safe for workers and visitors, adhering to health & safety policies.
+ Review the quality of all factors involved on-site and address any problems.
+ Manage day-to-day operations and the short-term schedule of projects.
+ Ensure specified materials are delivered on-site and accounted for.
+ Communicate clearly and effectively with the team, providing direction, project updates, and addressing concerns.
+ Train new and existing laborers on tasks involved in heavy industrial construction work.
+ Assist laborers with various duties including preparing construction sites, loading and unloading materials, removing debris, assembling and breaking down structures, operating heavy machinery, and digging and backfilling trenches.
**Essential Skills**
+ 7+ years of experience in industrial construction.
+ 2+ years of experience leading a crew.
+ Knowledge of Civil, Mechanical, and Structural Construction.
+ Experience effectively leading a construction team from planning to job completion.
+ Heavy Industrial Construction experience.
+ High school diploma or Associates is preferred.
+ Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
+ Effective communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Proficiency in construction math skills, including converting quantities and taking measurements.
+ Willingness to undergo drug screening processes.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Driving to jobs is a regular function of this role.
+ Knowledge of construction math skills.

**Work Environment**
The role requires flexibility in commuting to different job sites around Tucson and traveling as needed to locations in NM, CO, El Paso, and Wyoming. Trucks are provided for transportation, and accommodation and gas expenses are covered when traveling. Shifts typically start at 7am but may vary depending on the job site. Overtime is available. You will need to supply your own hand tools.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tucson, Arizona.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
