Job Title: Construction Superintendent Job Description We are searching for an experienced construction superintendent for community solar projects in Illinois. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and administrative duties on site. This role involves managing the construction of community solar sites ranging from 1-2.5 MW. Responsibilities + Manage daily operations and administrative duties on site. + Report progress and safety updates to the Construction Manager. + Manage sub vendors and work with their foremen. + Enforce safety and regulatory policies and procedures. + Set daily and weekly productivity standards for contractors and sub vendors. + Develop three-week look-ahead schedules and ensure project timelines are met. + Coordinate deliveries and equipment with the logistics team and subcontractors. + Review and interpret construction blueprints, project plans, and specifics daily. Essential Skills + Construction management experience in commercial electrical or civil projects. + Technical degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or extensive construction management experience. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Experience managing sub vendors. + Knowledge of PDF, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Must be computer savvy. + OSHA 10 certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Solar experience. + Electrician or electrical experience. + OSHA 30 certification (assistance with certification renewal available if necessary). Work Environment The work environment is a solar construction site with a company trailer. The site will typically have multiple electrical and civil subcontractors present. Work hours are primarily Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. Overtime must be approved by the supervisor and is not common. The dress code is construction attire, including jeans and a t-shirt with proper personal protective equipment (PPE) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
