The Construction Superintendent – Electrical is responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical field operations, installations, and equipment management to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. This role demands a proactive, hands-on leader who demonstrates professionalism, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

 

This individual must have a thorough understanding of electrical construction projects and must be proficient with the products and project tools required

 

The position must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include travel, weekends, and extended hours.

 

The Construction Superintendent will report to the Electrical Department Manager and will work primarily out of their location.

What You'll Do Schedule electrical service work, projects, maintenance, installations, etc. by balancing project needs with product and labor availabilityOversee all field construction activitiesManage on-site subcontractorsMonitor and adjust project schedules as assignedCommunicate personnel, equipment, and supply needs to the Project ManagerMaintain and organize project material purchases Assist the PM to provide work in progress reportsAssist project team in strategic meetings, follow-up, meeting notes, and action plans Support new business development and customer service by being available and responsive to internal and external customers and for new business inquiries Respond to and manage customer service needs to include things that arise after-hours Assist PM to ensure projects are timely, on budget, meet code requirements, and meet customer needsCoordinate with inspectors and other trades as neededProvide paperwork and documentation for accurate record-keeping, billing, and inventoryMaintain and track company tools, equipment, and vehicles for the projectServe as a mentor and team leader for field constructionFollow proper safety and incident reporting proceduresEnsure proper communication with the Department Manager on all pertinent issuesEvaluate company and subcontractor personnel to ensure a drug and alcohol-free work environment What You'll Bring 5+ years of electrical industry related experience preferred2+ years management experience preferredExperience leading multiple projects more than $1MExperience leading crew sizes of 10 or morePossess an Electrical License (NM Preferred)Valid Driver’s License requiredPossess excellent networking skillsAble to organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals Possess the ability for critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skillsAble to work independently and in team environmentsProactive, resourceful, and highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environmentDemonstrate managing complex projects with multiple stakeholdersAbility to balance multiple areas and phases of a projectMust be dependable; trustworthy; and possess a positive and productive attitude Proficient with Software such as estimating software, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Suit such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, etc.
