See what it's like to work at GROWMARK: https://youtu.be/CSVMnKCySsY * _PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_* The Construction Superintendent is responsible for supervising construction projects to be safe, on schedule and meeting budget expectations. * _ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_* Locates, qualifies and hires subcontractors using approved protocols, forms, and procedures. Acquires detailed knowledge on the project to communicate expectations and control the construction process, and ensures plans and specifications are met to design. Develops and regularly schedules subcontractors and trades. Proactively communicates deadlines and initiates action to keep projects on schedule to meet customer expectations. Administers and enforces GROWMARK and OSHA programs, storm water permits, SPCC compliance and other regulatory requirements on the site. Communicates and arranges third party inspection services. Maintains job logs, progress pictures, and field notes to document the work, the conditions, and maintain compliance. Administers change order process, obtains lien waivers and approves final payment requests. Employee performs miscellaneous labor as necessary on the site. * _OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_* Obtains labor quotes and assists Project Managers with design and project pricing. Assists with initial visits to sites for measurements and evaluations. Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. * _REQUIREMENTS_* Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction science, or the equivalent thereof, and three years or more of construction related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of construction management. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Occasionally requires extreme weather conditions, noisy conditions, dust, electrical hazards, heights, confined spaces, lifting 21-50 lbs. Passport for travel to Canada will be required. Frequently exposed or required to: * Extreme weather conditions /(hot, cold, wet, etc.)/ * Noisy conditions * Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures * May be required to work at varying heights * Confined spaces * Heights up to 200 feet * Lift /(21-50 lbs, 51-70 lbs, 71-100 lbs)./ Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
