JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Oversee all field construction activities of both union and non-union general contractors taking place within the plant site
* Making sure that all activities are completed safely and in accordance with job specifications and bid documentation.
* Issuance of daily safety permits as required by plant specific procedures.
* Interface, lead and direct contractors coordinating activities in the best interest of plant priorities.
* 90% of this job will be spent in the field supervising construction activities.
* May be working plant outages, some weekends, and extended hours as required by project schedules and importance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or Technical School
* 5+ years of construction supervisory experience from chemical or manufacturing field
* Chemical / manufacturing experience
* Safety background
* Multi-faceted capable of reading mechanical and civil drawings, interpreting blue prints and familiar with general construction issues.
* Familiar with OSHA Safety Standards a plus.
* Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
* Must have the ability to climb ladders and stairs.
* Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization.
* Ability to interface, lead and direct contractors coordinating activities in the best interest of plant priorities.
* Ability to interface with engineering companies.
* Self starter with initiative to get things done properly.
