Construction Supervisor (Electrical & Instrumentation)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Supervisor (Electrical & Instrumentation) to oversee and manage construction activities within brownfield oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction supervision, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and best industry practices. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university. Candidates with a Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline and extensive construction experience will also be considered. Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and installation activities within brownfield oil & gas projects. Hands-on experience in refinery construction and commissioning. Proven track record of implementing industry best practices, systems, and processes. Strong expertise in construction management, effective communication, and conflict resolution. Key Responsibilities Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project scope, design specifications, and QHSE standards. Review and approve construction method statements, material submittals, and commissioning procedures. Act as the Permit to Work Authority, ensuring all safety measures are adhered to by contractors. Oversee site construction and installation for electrical and instrumentation disciplines, ensuring quality and safety. Participate in constructability reviews and assess contractors’ plans, schedules, and risk assessments (JSAs). Coordinate contractor mobilization, including site access, permits, and laydown areas. Conduct inspections and testing of completed work, arranging pre-commissioning checks and issuing Mechanical Completion Certificates. Ensure all punch list items are addressed and closed out before final project handover. Review and approve red-marked and "as-built" drawings. Participate in project handover and commissioning, ensuring a smooth transition to operations. Prepare and review the Construction Dossier for project documentation and compliance. Support the development of Qatari Nationals through on-the-job training and mentorship.
