Construction Surveillance Technician

Position Summary: 

ISI is seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to support one of our Federal customers at a major campus in the National Capital Region. 

Essential Job Functions 

Provide basic physical security in accordance with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) policies and Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 705-1, -Physical and Technical Standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities). Conduct surveillance and understand the construction trades to closely monitor all construction activities and materials to ensure the security integrity of the building. Inspect, detect and report any unauthorized technical penetrations and thwart implanted clandestine technical collection devices. Work closely with the assigned Government Site Security Manager (SSM) to ensure all established security policies and procedures are followed. Supplement site security access controls implement screening and inspection procedures and monitor uncleared construction personnel in accordance with the Construction Security Plan (CSP). Conduct inspections of Protected Distribution System (PDS) and report any anomalies to the SSM.  

Preferred: Pentagon Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) experience is highly sought after. 

Required: 

Minimum High School diploma or GED required. Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.Minimum of three years' experience in the construction industry with knowledge of two or more of the following disciplines: Carpentry (rough-in, finish) Electricity Plumbing HVAC Sheet Metal Welding Dry Wall Masonry Knowledge of construction safety, construction project cycles, and common nomenclature of material/equipment. Read, speak and, understand English language fluently. Ability to complete written reports and forms. Provide excellent customer service skills. 

Physical Requirements:  

This job operates in a professional office environment. The Construction Surveillance Technician must have the ability to: 

Able to stand for 8 hours or longer per day. Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions including extreme heat, extreme cold, humidity, and various other adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time. This position may require lifting (up to 20 lbs.), standing, walking, siting, and bending throughout the workday. Must be able to walk across uneven surfaces, climb ladders, and able to frequently go up and down stairs. Must be able to work all shifts and weekends to meet the customers' requirements. Must be able to make logical, mentally competent, and safe decisions when working on a construction site. 

Work Setting/Environment/Travel Requirements:

Monday through Friday, Normal business hours 6:00 am – 5:00 pm
