Eastman’s WWE&C Construction Technologist is a member of a leadership team that will always strive to provide safe, effective construction and turnaround execution that meets or exceeds our business and operational needs. The Construction Technologist will work with project teams and execution forces to effectively execute Capital Projects/Turnarounds.

Role:
The Construction Technologist provides leadership throughout the execution of the capital project and turnaround by maximizing the value by safely executing projects and turnarounds within budget, on schedule and ensuring required operability is achieved for our business partners.
Responsibilities include:
Focus on construction/turnaround tactical and field issues Communicate safety expectations and processes to execution forces Monitor work to ensure compliance Perform audits with the construction/turnaround execution teams Provide input to constructability, turnaround execution plan, project execution plans, schedules and estimates Initiate work requests Coordinate contractors and construction/turnaround execution Monitor performance of individual projects and turnarounds Approve field deviations (PCN, Rework, Delay Charges) Review, verify and approve contractor invoices Inspect and accept installations and turnover packages Verify completion of work and initiate closing notices QualificationsRequired:
High School diploma required-- 2-year associate/technical degree 4-year degree a plus 5+ years of industrial/commercial construction experience to include: Building and Engineering Knowledge: Understanding construction materials, tools, and techniques is crucial. This may include masonry, plumbing, HVAC, and operating heavy machinery Safety Compliance: Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Project Management: Skills in planning, scheduling, and managing resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, use construction software, and knowledge of various tools and machinery Demonstrated E&I skillsets a plus Preferred certifications: CWI, E&I certifications, NCCER certification
Physical Requirements:
