Role Summary:
The Client Reporting Consultant will be responsible for taking the lead in providing oversight and strategic support for a variety of Northern Trust Client Reporting products, ensuring reporting delivered to clients is accurate and meets the client’s timing requirements.
In addition, the successful candidate will independently own and implement strategic product and process improvements, partnering with Investment Operations, Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
Major Duties
Provides client reporting consultation to business partners and clients. Responsible for taking lead in the delivery of best in class reporting to clients.Responsible for partnering with Relationship Managers to communicate client reporting capabilities and limitations for existing and new clients.Owns strategic product and process growth via structured delivery channels e.g. standard report improvement, automation of existing reporting, onboarding of new reporting platforms.Keeps abreast of regulatory rules and changes and adapts reporting to satisfy.Oversees development of appropriate action plans for client reporting activities and ensures execution and follow-up.Develops and leads projects in designated areas of expertise.Develops clear understanding of client needs behind service requests and communicates to service partners. Obtains appropriate information from partners and client to facilitate service changes.Identifies service efficiency enhancements and process improvements using creative and proactive measures.Interfaces with consultants, partners, and clients to determine servicing requirements and problem solving strategies.Mentors and may manage analysts.Skills / Knowledge:
Has good working knowledge and understanding of client accounting, reporting and/or client servicing .Must have a good working experience in Business specific and industry knowledge and fundamentals.Must be able to operate independently with good working knowledge and experience in accounting, investment/custody and client servicing.Experience in business analysis or project management will help in this role, however is not essential.Strong Office tools, written and spoken communication and Project Management skills required.Experience in data management, SQL and macro construction preferable however not essential.Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills. Can work and deal with complex issues and resolve them through analysis. Has the ability to plan own work and direct the business analysis work of others.Experience:
Requires a Finance or Accounting college or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience that provides knowledge and skills to the functional business.Working with Us:
