What Communications Business Partners contributes to Cardinal Health
Communications defines and executes communication and public relations strategies in support of the company's business objectives, image and reputation for both internal and external stakeholders. This function builds relationships with external stakeholders, including media and community organizations, and designs meetings and communications to leverage these relationships and promote the company.
Communications Business Partner engages various internal audiences in the purpose and priorities of Cardinal Health, key initiatives and strategies with the goal of accelerating company performance. This job family develops and distributes print-based and digital communications including corporate policy manuals, internal newsletters, process handbooks, and function-specific documents created in collaboration with subject matter experts. This job family evaluates employee engagement with internal communications and liaises with leaders to ensure dissemination of communications.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the execution of comprehensive communication strategies and tactics to support the Pharmaceutical & Specialty Distribution and Supply Chain Operations functions within the Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions segment. This person will collaborate with leaders, and partners to implement strategic communication plans that reflect the company’s mission, values, brand and priorities all while mitigating risk.
Accountabilities
General
Focus on creating communications and content to support the Pharmaceutical & Specialty Distribution and Supply Chain Operations functions. Seek and maintain comprehensive understanding of our customers, distribution operations, programs and solutions.Collaborate with communications and marketing partners across the pharmaceutical segment and Cardinal Health Communications & Enterprise Marketing to follow consistent communications processes.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with outside agencies and/or consultants.External Communications
Execute communications and thought leadership plans in support Pharmaceutical & Specialty Distribution and Supply Chain Operations and related project initiatives.Assist in the execution and management of PR and thought leadership tactics, including trade media outreach and engagement.Create communication deliverables such as talking points, emails, news releases, social media posts, customer notifications, etc.Track and measure external communications activities.Ideate social content in collaboration with corporate partners.Internal Communications
Write and coordinate internal communications in support of the business, processes and services, and key initiatives and programs. Write communications for urgent happenings, including storm communications to support the business and our customers.Write communications to help field employees connect their work to our mission, vision, and valuesDevelop communications plans and gain alignment on audience, channels, messaging, and execution.Write and manage the content calendar for internal channels (Intranet, Viva Engagement, weekly e-communications etc.)Develop content and provide support for key internal meetings, including town hallsSocial Media
Ideate social content using both internal and external sources in collaboration with corporate partnersCoordinate business unit/function social initiatives with Enterprise social media team
