How OptiFreight® Logistics Carrier Relations contributes to Cardinal Health
The Parcel team within Carrier Relations is responsible for our carrier strategy and contracting to ensure we have access to the right products and solutions, and we help to maintain and strengthen the parcel relationships both nationally and locally to help deliver an exceptional customer experience. Our team manages a wide range of parcel projects and we partner with sales, operations, marketing and other cross departmental team members in those efforts. We are responsible for communicating relevant information to support the organization with navigating current and future trends in the parcel industry.
OptiFreight™ Logistics is the leading provider of Inbound, Outbound, and Less than Truckload (LTL) Shipping and freight management services for the Healthcare sector.

Accountabilities
Contributes to the carrier relations strategy and helps with project managementInvolved with business implementation of new carrier programsUpdates internal stakeholders around contracted products and servicesSupports financial analysis to help understand business impactProvides overview and trends for spend managementAnalyzes shipment characteristics for contract compliance and opportunity identificationStays informed of carrier pricing changes and communicates implicationsGathers industry insights across the parcel transportation marketMaintains appropriate documentation and records managementHelps prepare new product and service presentationsCollaborates and aligns with cross departmental stakeholdersOversees system access and account updatesQualifications
3-5 years parcel transportation and analytics experience preferredExperience with SQL and retrieving large data setsProven product knowledge in business areaBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceWhat is expected of you and others at this level
Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projectsMay contribute to the development of policies and proceduresWorks on complex projects of large scopeDevelops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
