Overview As an analytics consultant supporting GB Specialty, you will execute quantitative analysis to drive actionable insights, in support of our Specialty business, a key growth segment of Gallagher Bassett. Analysis will range from strategic (i.e., scoping market potential) to sales (i.e., analytics to support new client acquisition) to client related (i.e, identifying performance gaps and hypotheses for root cause, leading to specific action plans to capitalize on opportunities for clients). You will work very closely with Specialty Client Services, Claims Operations, and our internal executive team. Daily, often urgent ad-hoc analytical work will be required, as will be the delivery of high quality, error free analyses. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining appropriate scorecards and reports to track various clients claim outcomes and operational performance, including packaging of insights for a monthly executive report out. The ideal candidate will be able to juggle numerous inflight asks with a short timeline, and communicate expectations effectively with internal and external stakeholders across the organization. In addition, you will be required to streamline processes and automate reporting where applicable. Intermediate to expert level SQL and excel skills are desired, as well as intermediate to expert knowledge of PowerBI. How you'll make an impact Generating analyses and reports related to Specialty outcomes to provide recommendations for senior and executive audiences Identifying and assessing opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and outcomes across GB’s operations Packaging insights from analyses into highly polished presentations for internal stakeholders and/or executive team Evaluating financial impact of rolling out new pilots and initiatives Leading high visibility Specialty initiatives and collaborating across functional areas Conducting primary and/or secondary research to identify required data to solve a given business question Overseeing build-out of tools/technology as needed to ensure Specialty and client services have ability to comprehensively track outcomes Intermediate knowledge of fundamental claim concepts, practices, and procedures within GB’s Specialty business Able to work independently with minimal guidance as needed Tasked with solving problems of moderate to high complexity Significant client interaction and engagement About You Preferred Requirements Ability to think critically and break down complex business problems Clear and effective communication Strong academic credentials Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint Bonus if you possess enterprise analytics skills (e.g., R, Python, SQL, SAS, Power BI, Tableau); however these skills are not required and can be taught on the job Bonus if you possess functional knowledge of Human Resources (not required) Bonus if you possess a Master’s/MBA degree (not required) Required: Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 4 years professional experience with quantitative analysis Less than 20% travel Work Traits: Critical Thinking, Complex Problem Solving, Deductive Reasoning, Mathematical Reasoning, Excellent Judgment & Decision Making skills, and Excellent Communication Skills #LI-TG2 Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
