What GPO Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health

The Consultant, GPO Account Management (Specialty Solutions) is responsible for managing and building relationships with an assigned set of providers across multiple specialties: Oncology, Urology, Retina, Gastroenterology, and Rheumatology, to achieve the contract performance goals and objectives identified by the provider and Cardinal Health. These individuals are responsible for long-term relationship building between the specialty providers, Cardinal Health Sales Team, SNS Member facing team, and the Group Purchasing Organization(s) (GPO’s). Important to note - the complexity of the contracts, return on investment, financial obligations is variable and can range significantly.


In addition, this person will manage contract parameter data used for our member performance reporting tools. The Consultant, GPO Account Management (Specialty Solutions) will work closely with the GPO member-facing teams to help better understand contract parameters (along with sharing this information with the customers they support).  

Location - Fully remote (targeting candidates nationwide)

Responsibilities

Collaborates with operations team along with member facing teams on best practices to support our membersEnters and manages detailed contract data parameters with extreme accuracy in our contract admin tool used to support member facing performance reporting tools.Participates as a QA resource for other consultantsProvides timely and accurate communication via email or Zoom/Teams calls to GPO members on their quarterly performance goalsWorks on complex projects of large scope with the GPO operations teamAssists the technology team in testing changes or updates to our technology reporting tools.  Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectivesCompletes work independently using good time management

Qualifications

Attention to detail, strong time management skills, polished communication (both verbal and written) are considered must-havesSolid foundational experience using Excel is requiredIndividuals that bring a willingness to work in a role that is equal parts data-oriented (analytical) and communicative (working with GPO-members) is highly preferredIdeally targeting 4+ years of relevant work experience, preferredBackground in healthcare, including pharmaceutical experience, preferredSome level of GPO experience, preferredTeam player mindset and strong ability to work with others effectively, required
