Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Consultant, Mergers and Acquisitions to join our Corporate Development team in Mumbai.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end M&A process, from initial target identification and deep-dive due diligence to complex negotiation and recommendation to senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Lead the identification and rigorous evaluation of potential merger, acquisition, and divestiture targets to align with Iron Mountain’s long-term growth objectives, resulting in a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Finance, Legal, Operations, and Business Unit leadership) to conduct comprehensive due diligence and ensure the reliability and accuracy of all financial and operational information.
Analyze the financial impact of potential transactions, developing detailed valuation models and making clear, evidence-based recommendations regarding their anticipated effect on the organization's profitability and shareholder value.
Support and lead the negotiation of transaction terms with target companies and their advisors, ensuring favorable outcomes and managing legal and financial documentation.
Ensure compliance with organizational M&A policies, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the transaction lifecycle.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Transaction Services.
Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, Comparables), accounting principles, and deal structuring.
Proven ability in complex problem-solving, stakeholder management, and highly effective communication with internal and external executive teams.
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business; an MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA) is highly desirable.
