What you'll be doing

Risk Data Management Office provides governance and oversight as well as executes risk data management processes across retail and wholesale credit risk data, market risk and trading credit risk positional data, operational risk data. As a Consultant, Risk Analytics you will be responsible for monthly data analysis and data issue investigation to determine root causes, providing support for data processing, executing data quality management process and validating and reconciliating warehouse data.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

Analytics - Strong analytics skills with business experience in large-scale data to identify and analyze daily data quality issues in warehouse source data and reconciliation with the GL.

Collaboration - Cooperation and problem solving any data issues among technology partners, business analysis team and quality assurance team. Collaborate with teams to meet critical warehouse production timeline (e.g. GL close, BCAR schedules and business reports deliveries.)

Production accountability building – Prepare daily or monthly quality-oriented critical data feeds for retail and wholesale warehouses against various dimensions (e.g. accuracy, completeness, timeliness and consistency) and perform data validation and reconciliation.

Stakeholder management – Provide explanation of data trend and changes for our stakeholders and ad hoc requirements from executive teams.

Who you are

You can demonstrate 2 to 3 years of work experience in data warehouse and data analysis using SQL and Oracle. It's an asset if you also have proficiency with Excel, SAS and Cognos.

You have a Degree in mathematics, business or a relevant field.
