Consultant

Play a key consultative role in the development of data strategies for customers to help shape the future of what their data-centric organizations look like.

Work as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Architect on technologies and trends in Data Integration, Virtualization and Business Intelligence/Analytic Platforms.

Support customers to define the processes, mindsets, technologies, and expertise required to convert data to action and derive value from its use.

Lead the application transformation effort for existing Business Intelligence & Analytics platforms.

Work with other Architects and technical teams to create data models, data virtualization layers, business intelligence applications, business architecture strategy, and blueprinting (design and develop new as well enhance existing Virtualization and Business Intelligence Solutions).

Leverage experience in leading projects of varying sizes and complexity with strong analytical and design skills and the ability to grasp new data/processes quickly.

Perform a variety of functions; including data modelling, data migration, data storage management, data integration, data cleansing, data profiling, data blending, data virtualization, and data visualization.

Perform reviews of code and test results to verify functionality is working as expected. Work closely with the application team on troubleshooting technical issues and bug fixes and support testing during System Integration (SIT) and User Acceptance (UAT) phases of the project.

Manage client expectations, establish credibility at all levels within the customer, and build problem-solving partnerships with the client, partners, and colleagues.

Collaborate with technology, business, and product partners to create requirements, use case documents, and architect the end state of the platform.

Prepare detailed design documents and software requirements for specification documents.

Implement Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) throughout all custom developments.

Develop presentations, training materials, or documentation on related topics.

May be assigned to and provide products/support to specific industry groups such as supply chain and logistics, automotive, banking and finance, healthcare, insurance, and information technology.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related.

 

Five (5) years of any occupation with Information Technology experience, or related.

 

Five (5) years of required IT, or related experience must include: Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms such as: TIBCO Spotfire, Microsoft Power BI; Virtualization Platforms and Technologies such as: TIBCO Data Virtualization; Programming Languages for Data Analytics such as: Advanced SQL, Python; Data Integration tools such as: Ab Initio; Data Modelling tools such as: Oracle SQL Developer, Toad Data Modeler; Databases such as: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server; Project Management tools such as: VersionOne.

 

ALTERNATE EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept no degree and seven (7) years of any occupation with IT experience, or related.  Must have skills listed above.

 

ROVING/TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE: Reports to company headquarters in Plano, TX. Will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S. for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S. and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S. Can work remotely or telecommute.

 

EOE. 8AM to 5PM. M-F. 40 hrs./wk.  Salary: $119,246 - $120,246
