As a Consultant Addiction Psychiatrist, you will provide leadership, expert advice, and direction to ensure high-quality services that adhere to best practice guidelines and professional standards. You will be part of our Senior Management Team, contributing to the overall performance of our services and ensuring that we meet our contractual targets.

 

 

Location: Liverpool

Full Time Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Full Time Salary Range: £136,664.32 - £147,501.12 ( Based on full time hours, pro rata for part time hours)

Responsibilities

About the Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting clinical assessments, including psychiatric and physical investigations and reviews.Operating within relevant guidelines, policies, and procedures.Attending multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate.Participating in continuing professional development, annual appraisal, and revalidation.Working in partnership with individuals and carers to empower them in making decisions about their treatment and care.Staying up-to-date on professional developments as required by your professional body.

 

About You:

We are looking for someone with:A Medical Degree and completion of Basic Medical Training with Full GMC UK Registration and License to Practice.MRC Psych or an equivalent qualification.Good knowledge of addiction psychiatry and relevant mental health legislation.An understanding of the work of other agencies, including non-statutory services.To provide clinical advice, liaison and consultation as required to colleagues in primary care, community services and acute specialties in line with new ways of workingExperience working with substance misuse and mental health issues, with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
