Consultant - Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA)

We are seeking a UK based Consultant -  (Clinical Outcome Assessment ) to serve as a critical member of project teams by providing analytical insight, leadership and creativity to billable client engagements, business development efforts and internal initiatives.

As a Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in managing clinical outcomes assessment (COA) projects, which include targeted literature reviews, qualitative and quantitative studies, COA landscaping, and strategic projects.

You will provide technical training and guidance to COA analysts, focusing on US and EU regulatory guidance for PRO/COA endpoints, research methodologies, instrument reviews, clinical trial endpoints, and PRO endpoint development for product labeling and market access. Additionally, you will contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing, and support the attainment of yearly revenue and profit targets.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments.

A master’s degree in health psychology, psychology, sociology, life sciences or other relevant topic (a 2:1 or higher)

5 -6 years experience in outcomes research, qualitative research and/or patient-reported outcomes development and evaluation

Proven experience in MS office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 

In-depth knowledge and experience of clinical outcomes assessments, patient-reported outcomes, development and validation of outcome measures, and clinical trial endpoint strategy

In-depth knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical/medical device industry and the clients operating environment

Experience of projects and project teams

Experience of managing client relationships and identifying client needs

Experience of line management and training

Consulting experience in a client facing role

It would be great if you also have:

•    A PHD 
•    Proven experience in Atlas, NVIVO or MAXQDA

What will you be doing in this role?

- Project Management:

  - Provide strategic direction
  - Manage project teams and client relations
  - Ensure quality deliverables
  - Identify and recommend actions on critical issues

- Training:
  - Develop and conduct internal COA-specific training
  - Identify training needs for the team

- Financial Project Management:
  - Handle project administration
  - Maintain accurate time records and invoice schedules
  - Provide monthly income forecasts

- Business Development:
  - Identify and develop new business opportunities
  - Prepare proposals and present to clients
  - Maintain a strong client presence

- Thought Leadership:
  - Build an external presence in the COA community
  - Maintain technical skills and industry knowledge
  - Represent DRG HEOR at conferences and exhibitions
  - Initiate thought leadership activities

About the Team :

Our team consists of 20+ health psychologists and outcomes researchers by training who have extensive methodological and commercial experience.
Experienced in the design, validation, and implementation of patient-reported outcome (PRO) and other COA instruments for clinical trials and clinical practice, with a focus on FDA and EMA, and HTA bodies with Significant experience across a range of Therapy areas, such as oncology, immune disorders, respiratory, psychiatry, CNS, autoimmune, infectious diseases, pain, and women's health., supported by a global multi-disciplinary team From the wider Clarivate team, we can involve medical writers, health economists, systematic reviewers and strategic advisors in our projects as needed.
Together, our experts provide integrated health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and market access solutions across the product life cycle.
 

Hours of Work

This is a full-time permanent position based in London, UK(Hybrid) or Remote, England

This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
