Consultant II, Agency and Trustee Services

Loan Trading-

We are currently hiring a position role within. Role will require to work closely with Transaction Managers (Front Office), External Clients, KYC , Data services and the Operations team to ensure the controlled on-boarding of all new transactions from the pre-closing/funding stages through certain ongoing portfolio administration tasks. The individual will have responsibility for the completion of many key portfolio and transaction tasks and for reporting of aged items and ownership of resolution. As such they are required to be detail orientated, organized and able to maintain accurate and complete records at all times. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and meticulous critical thinker. Must possess attributes of sound judgement, tact, and diplomacy. Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify issues. Ability to act independently (decision making) and be a team player as well.

Responsibilities:

Deal Closing:

• Working with transaction management and the operations team to assume deal management pre-closing – running the closing cash flows*; preparing closing invoices; updating files and tasks upon receipt / taking over and completing the deal “Closing Checklist” (“DCC”) in respect of:

Fee reconciliationCollateralBibles – including checking for completeness, scanning to files and logging/safekeeping.

• Ensure completion of DCCs within specified time – track and report on overdue items, and work with colleagues to ensure all items are closed off.

• Prior to each new deal closing working from the funds flow, reaching out to all lenders/funders to ensure compliance with MT103 format and to confirm all KYC required to be done is complete.

• Manage post-closing accession process – coordinating with Lenders and legal counsel – updating all records and systems.

Trading:

• Secondary Market Trade processing – paper-based and Clearpar trades – KYC / checking seller positions / updating spreadsheets and WSO / coordinating with buyer & seller / processing and recording of trades and working with colleagues to issue invoices for transfer fee.

• Manage waivers & amendment process.

• Manage certain lender/borrower queries.

Support Functions:

• Attend daily WIP call and update the team on middle office workstreams.

• Working closely with the management accounting and operations teams to assist in resolving any queries arising from the daily reconciliation of the Kroll Client and House accounts. This will involve running a daily payment report / identifying all debits and credits, managing any underpayments / overpayments / returns of funds / unexpected cash – updating the records (including invoice/recharge tracking)

• Working with Management to assist in the production of the Monthly MIS Report

• Processing of recharges to clients in respect of Fees and negative interest charged monthly.

• Run an annual collateral audit for deals under management/within assigned portfolio.

• Managing ad-hoc transaction activity – assisting transaction management team to administer ad-hoc and unscheduled transaction activity as directed and in accordance with procedures.

• Reporting and Compliance - completing and delivering regular reports and action points to management and working to improve procedures and processes based on regular findings.

Invoicing:

• Invoicing: a) creating/sending/recording all KATS invoices and b) receive all post-closing invoices (eg from 3rd party service providers) – record / recharge / reconcile – this is for closing invoices as well as for ongoing annual invoices.

Process Management:

• Manage process controls effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce / finance or relevant experience

• Experience with loans systems such as Loan IQ, Clearpar, Loan Processer & Loan Reconciliations.

• Previous management/leadership experience in an operations environment.

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work overtime as needed to support the team and ensure critical work is performed.

• Flexible working in shifts

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
