Consultant II – Commercial Sustainability – Campus 2025

What You Will Do:

The Commercial Sustainability practice assists large corporations and public sector entities with measurement, planning, and implementation to secure a more sustainable and lower carbon future. 

For consultants joining the team, responsibilities will include work on all phases of client projects including preparing deliverables, researching solutions, managing client interactions, and implementing solutions. You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks.  Consultants also work on a variety of internal initiatives including training, recruiting, and development of tools to enhance the quality of Guidehouse’s work and brand.

As you develop project management skills and leadership abilities, successful consultants progress to the Senior Consultant level.

Key responsibilities may include:

Clearly organizing and presenting complex information in ways that are understandable to both technical and general audiences.Measurement of carbon emission footprints and development of plans to reduce or mitigate emissions.Performing technical and economic analyses; data collection; spreadsheet creation and managementForecasting commercial opportunity and market size for existing and new technologies and solutionsAssessing energy efficiency and renewable energy technologiesBuilding and technology energy simulation modellingField performance measurement and data collection of building and industrial process energy systemsProviding detailed fact finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activitiesAssessing technologies and analyzing technology trendsDeveloping technology strategies for utilities, government, and energy companiesCommunicating solutions and new strategies to clients through reports and presentations


What You Will Need:

Minimum Years of Experience: 0 yearsMinimum Degree Required: Master’s Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited degree program in 2024 and graduate by Summer of 2025)Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the countryNo sponsorship is available for this position


What Would Be Nice To Have:

Strong interest in the Energy and/or Sustainability IndustriesProficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and VisioFamiliarity with economic and financial analysis and researchProactive and independent work styleAbility to assume ownership of significant portions of tasks while collaborating with a close-knit teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

The annual salary range for this position is $71,800.00-$107,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
