About the business unit  
The Buildings and Cities Unit (BNC) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald's regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across five key Sectors; Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation and Water. We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.  

 

About the Division 
EAM Division as part of BNC employs over 225 people based across 10 territories and 15 office locations in mainland Europe and Turkey.

 

Whilst the Division’s primary focus is buildings and cities as part of the Buildings and Cities Unit (BNC), it provides pan sector advisory services across mainland Europe and parts of Central Asia and detailed design services on transport infrastructure in Czech Republic. EAM Division offices also provides platforms for the Group to follow clients into, and work on projects in EAM managed territories.
 

About the role
You will join the Construction Project Management practice (“Conduite d’Opérations”), which is part of the wider public sector advisory team (about 40 people strong). The role will be based in Paris where you will be involved in various projects mainly in France and at times abroad. You will be working with a focus on complex infrastructure (social infrastructure, higher education infrastructure, real estate) projects.

 

Key responsibilities will involve the following:

Client’s O&M organisation audits and recommendationsO&M procurement support (specifications drafting, bids review and negotiations, etc.)Monitoring O&M services providers contractual performance (financial performance, quality adherence, timelines) for and on behalf of our clients for both scheduled and unscheduled activitiesWriting and following commissioning planReviewing and opining on methods, tools, products and processes to be implemented by O&M services providersOrganising for and on behalf of our clients the O&M and facility management activities Taking part or chairing meetings with clients, O&M services providers or facility managers

 

In addition to the above, you will form an integral part of our Public Advisory team and as such can be called upon to support or deliver other assignments such as construction project management or technical bids drafting.

 

Experience and Competencies

MSc in civil or O&M engineering or equivalent.Experience in public advisory (AMO), hands-on involvement in building operations and maintenance activities, as well as facility management, is highly desirable.A good knowledge of computer-assisted maintenance software (GMAO)Strong command of English and FrenchBe comfortable with various forms of communication, whether written or spoken, including emails, reports, slide presentations, and meetings.Have a real consultancy mindset: being able to analyse situations, devise action plans accordingly, tracking progress, and adeptly managing multiple assignments, tasks, or projectsExcellent listening skills to put the clients at the heart of everything we do in a proactive manner.
